Clove Bud Oil is steam-distilled from the flower-bud of the clove plant—syzygium aromaticum, or eugenia caryophyllata—and possesses a warm, woody and spicy aroma.

Properties

Clove Bud Oil has historically been used as an analgesic, and is often used for the relief of toothache. 

It is known for its antiseptic, anti-fungal and even anti-viral properties.

How to use Clove Bud Oil

There are four common ways of administering Clove Bud Oil. We recommend using only the highest quality Clove Bud Essential Oil, which you can find here.

Steam inhalation

Adding one or two drops of clove bud oil to a bowl of hot water for an inhalation will help to relieve respiratory symptoms. 

Alternatively, add one or two drops of the oil with some water to your diffuser for a more general dispersion throughout your living space. 

Applied to toothache

Add one or two drops of clove bud oil to a carrier oil such as almond, coconut or olive oil. Applying this to areas of toothache can help alleviate pain. 

In kitchens and bathrooms

Add ¼ teaspoon of clove bud oil to one litre of water and apply to areas of mould. 

 In soap

When used as a soap ingredient, clove bud essential oil's powerful antiseptic and anti-fungal properties can help remove harmful bacteria from the skin, while infusing it with a pleasantly spicy scent.

Essential Oils are highly concentrated and must be used with care. 

Do not swallow clove bud oil.
