Properties
Black pepper oil is well-known for its high antioxidant content and anti-inflammatory properties. In particular, it is high in sesquiterpenes and monoterpenes, chemicals renowned for supporting a healthy immune system.
A warming oil, it is often used in blended massage oils to relieve muscular aches and pains.Â
How to use Black Pepper Oil
There are three ways of administering Black Pepper Oil.
Steam inhalation
Promote a vibrant, mentally-stimulating environment in your home by adding one or two drops of Black Pepper Essential Oil to a steam diffuser, ultrasonic diffuser or oil burner.
Topical Application
 Create a warming massage oil to relieve sore muscles by adding 2.5% Black Pepper Essential Oil to a carrier oil. (After adding to carrier oil, test on a small patch of skin first.) Blends very nicely with ginger, white camphor and eucalyptus oils.Â
Via Soap
Creating a soap using Black Pepper Essential Oil gives it a pleasant spicy, woody scent—a relaxing soap that can be used at the end of a long day.
