What is Cardamom Essential Oil?
Cardamom Oil is extracted via steam distillation from the seeds of the cardamom plant—elattaria cardomom—and has a strong scent with both sweet and spicy tones.
Being a close relative to ginger, cardamom is renowned for its ability to soothe digestive issues. It has anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties, and is high in antioxidants. Thanks to its high 1.8 cineole content, Cardamom Oil can be used to fight respiratory issues and relieve congestion.
How to use Cardamom Oil
In addition to using cardamom oil as a flavour enhancer—you can add it to bread, smoothies and salads, for example—there are three practical applications for Cardamom Essential Oil that you can try.
