In 2006, The Soap Bar opened its flagship store in Maleny, a beautiful rural town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, about an hour’s drive north of Brisbane. Since then it has quickly gained popularity as a must go place in the Hinterland.
What a delight awaits as you enter the store and discover gourmet, rustic looking, boutique style soaps looking more like works of art than humble soap. Swirled with natural clays and oxides, topped with botanicals and herbs, our soaps are designed to engage all your senses, so that bathing can be fun and good for you, leaving you to enjoy softer, revitalised and younger looking skin.
The Soap Bar is a wonderful place to visit, find the perfect gift for someone special or a decadent treat for your self. In addition to soaps, there are natural body care products, candles and an array of bathing accessories, including brushes, towels and robes. Prepackaged boxed soap sets are available or you can design your own. There are milk and mineral bath salts to encourage deep muscle relaxation and a beautiful range of hand made paper, journals, cards and lots more all displayed on an eclectic collection of shabby chic and vintage furniture.
Recent trips to Nepal have resulted in partnerships with projects set up to generate income for women.
In 2010 The Soap Bar opened its second store in Cotton Tree, Maroochydore.
A recent trip to Italy led us to discover some funky ceramics by Artek, we have partnered with them and are proud to have an exclusive range of hand made Italian Artek ceramics by in both our stores.
